Thanks Eric for the Solarwinds recommendation.  Very nifty utility
that's now on my Christmas list.

Thanks also to Maarten for mentioning UDP on SNMP.  I had selected TCP
on the filter rather than UDP.

And thanks to everyone else who had thoughts and suggestions.

BTW - Solarwinds is indeed indicating that I have port errors.  Without
it I was guessing where the problems might be.
