Yes we do see a requirement also. I occasionally have to punch a hole
through the firewall to allow someone to use a remote control product for
say a weekend or a week and am always forgetting to remove them.

I think it would be very valuable if I could define an expiry
date/time on an object. Whether it be an alias, tunnel or a filter, I
would like to be able to set up an alias/tunnel/filter combo for some
transient requirment, and have it automatically disappear after said
date/time.
Instead, I prepend to the comment (in the filter only!)
"TEMP: Delete after yy/mm/dd - "
I know this has the side effect requiring the date/time be somehow
"trusted". Till now, the date/time on the gnatbox can free float and
it does not really matter. Squeezing xntp onto that little floppy
seems like asking way too much.
I could live with this limitation. Just let me set and expire date on
aliases/tunnels/filters, please!
I have asked for this feature a couple of times (after just about
every release, I think). Does no one else see a need for this?
Kind regards,
Larry
