I think you missed the point of my original post. I know what protocol
the tunnel is controlling access to - what I sometimes forget is *WHY*
I allowed a given machine access to that port.

Add to this that I'm not always at my desk (or even my office!) when a
configuration change needs to be made, and you'll see how much better
it would be (for me, anyway) if the tunnels were a little more self
documenting.

As much as I would like this feature as well, I have found that it is not
too cumbersome to maintain this information in a text file.
Actually, I now rather like this approach as I can print a much smaller
summary of my configuration rather than the usual many page full detail
report.

A subset of my list looks something like:

Aliases/ports	Description Real IP
.10/80,443 WWW 10.0.1.95

Common ports
80	HTTP
119	NNTP
123	NTP
443	SSL
54321	RemotelyWhatever

etc.

The common port list is just a list of the ports that actually exist in my
configuration for those occasions when I can't remember a lessor used port
(or one that I have changed).

Works for me.
