Larry-

In version 3.0 one of the new features was the ability to group filters as you had suggested. We refer to this feature as Network Objects. As for grouping aliases, we don't really see why these would need to be grouped. Grouping tunnels may one day be an option, but not any time soon.

As for your other suggestion about a time limit on filters. Although this might be useful for some people, in the mean time simply paying attention and deleting the filters manually isn't that difficult. How often would you be using time based filters? You would have to go to the firewall to add the timed filter each time you wanted to use it anyway, why not just log on a second time to delete it?

We appreciate our user's suggestions. We read them all. Please keep in mind that making changes to any program, no matter how small the change seems to be, might require a considerable about of time to develop. Our efforts right now are focused on many things that will end up making life much easier for our users.

Don't hold your breath.

I have asked for this feature on just about every release I have
received for this product.

One of my biggest frustrations is that I cannot associate a number of
objects (alias, tunnel & filter) in some kind of an administrative
group. There is no way to link these various items together except
via comments, and comments are not available, so ??

hmm, I see a subsequent response to this message in my inbox from gta,
and as I suspected, it's on the list, but no promises. Too bad :-(
