Just to follow up on the information John Ross provided about Napster.

For version 3.0.x users IP Address Objects can be quite useful in your battle with Napster.

1. Create an IP address object: Napster
2. Add the following IP addresses to the Napster Object.
Host: 208.178.163.61
Range: 208.178.175.130-208.178.175.134
Host: 208.184.216.202
Range: 208.184.216.204 - 208.184.216.209
Range: 208.184.216.211-208.184.216.215
Range: 208.184.216.217-208.184.216.221
Host: 208.49.239.242
Host: 208.49.239.7
Host: 208.49.239.8

3. Create an Outbound filter (near the top of the list, #1 would be good). The filter should block any IP arriving on the Protected NIC, with any protocol and a destination of Napster.

Block Napster access
 Deny PRO ALL
 Source: ANY_IP
   Dest: Napster

Hi

Does anyone know of a way to filter Napster traffic? We're finding our
users continuously download MP3's during office hours. We run a GNATBOX
as our firewall on that network.
