You are QUITE right... My appologies. It is permitted for commercial
evaluation, but not commercial use (VERY big difference). That will
teach me to write before my morning caffine.
No, you were right in the first place. From the GB Lite license agreement:
Global Technology Associates, Inc. ("GTA") grants to
the user a nonexclusive license to use this GNAT Box
Software solely for User's own personal or limited
internal business purposes. The user may not
commercially distribute, sublicense, resell, or
otherwise transfer for any consideration, or reproduce
for any such purposes, the GNAT Box software or any
modification or derivation thereof, either alone or in
conjunction with any other product or program.
Further, the user may not modify the GNAT Box Software,
other than for User's own personal or internal business
use.
It doesn't say anything about "evaluation only", it says "limited
internal business purposes." It doesn't say what "limited" is supposed to
mean, but it's clearly not just a "personal use or commercial evaluation"
license.
